We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Thame and its surrounding area, either for an overnight stay, or for a longer period. It is located 10 minutes drive from Thame and at the foot of the Chiltern Hills, and the M40 is only approximately 2 miles away. The hotel is in an interesting and really old former pub and its out-buildings, plus a new and modern extension. It has modern facilities and everything that today's guests require and expect and the owners have clearly made the best of what the buildings and their features offer. The rooms and facilities are first-class and the staff are friendly, efficient and professional. As well as enjoying the substantial breakfast, we also dined the previous evening in the restaurant and enjoyed a lovely freshly cooked meal from the varied menu, which caters for everyone. The hotel has 2 outside areas, with plenty of seating available either in the yard garden, or the open spaced courtyard, where guests can sit and enjoy their refreshments, together with a well stocked bar inside. On a personal level, we also enjoyed a Room Upgrade upon arrival, which was much appreciated. Well recommended!

Despite checking in late at night I was made to feel very welcome at Reception and able to get into my room promptly which was great considering the time of day. The room was clean and very comfortable and had all amenities I expected with the bed really cosy, ensuring I had a good night's sleep. Location was great as well being just off the M40.
